This model depicts a F-4N CAG airplane of VMFA-531 attached to CVW-14 embarked on the USS Coral Sea for the '79-'80 cruise to the Indian Ocean during the Iranian Hostage crisis. The model kit is pretty much out of the box except for the cockpit which was jazzed up a little with the Eduard F-4B/N zoom set & True Details seats. Missiles are from the Hasegawa Weapons set III. The decals are from the Hasegawa F-4B/N CAG special ediiton release & Scalemaster sheet SM-39.
