My intention to start ship modelling was more or less because of the carriers (always liked planes and built models as kid), and after i found modelwarships, i was so stunned that i thought i`ll also start doing that again! from th beginnig my intention was a
carrier task force..but because of the space it would need i had to cut
myself down to a few ships! the hole thing took me about 8 months and it
was the first time i used pe and i made water with silicone.
Don`t have you to tell much about them
eisenhower, the second ship of the nimitz class cvns new jersey,
modernized iowa class battleship oliver hazard perry, typeship of ts
class of frigates and a sturgeon ssn new jersey:
The airwings consists of fujimi hornets and tomcats which have the better shape than skywave in my opinion, and skywave prowlers, hawkeyes, intruders and corsairs(i don`t no if it`s right to have them displayed next to hornets but i think in the earl to middle eighties, ther was some kind of chaos in the airwings) the two seakings come from dragon/skywave modern weapons sets. i know the squadron markings are nit right(there are to few!) and those small decals where the most pain of the whole thing. totally i used 2 frets of gmm sailors and one fret of prepainted eduard sailors on this dio. i really enjoyed building it most of the time, but i need a little break from 1:700 planes. therefore the next builds will be a 1:144 seawolf with a "magic flight" hornte of revell flying acorss, a dester storm wisconsin and after that i`ll go on with the italeri reagan!
