Westland Wyvern by Jaromir Senft
Brand: Classic Airframes
Scale: 1/48
Modeler: Jaromir Senft
AddOns: Goffy Model Westland Wyvern Update set #4802

I build this model during spring of 2005. The classic airframes have done good job, but some fitting and sanding was necessary – the main landing legs were to long, right fuselage half was also cca 1mm longer as the left side, launchers and rails for unguided rockets is better to take from another kit.

To improve my model I used Goffy Model detail set 4802, excluding parts for folded wings. As I built plane with flaps down, and goffy offer only combination folded wing + central wing with downed flaps, I must scratch two flaps for outer wing. I opened and scratch also new wing breaks.

To fit parts from Goffy set to model was necessary some sanding by model fuselage and wing parts (spur and main wheel bay, central wing flaps), new resin cockpit I put directly to fuselage without any improvements.

Prior to colouring is whole model sprayed with coat of Gunze Mr. Surfacer 1000 primer at first, then a coat of fine silver car-spray was done. After a day drying time I rivet whole model with one special riveting wheel. My model is coloured according to model manual, colours from Modelmaster and Humbrol were used.

After colours were dry, I sand model with very fine sandpaper and polish it with fine cloth – the rivets then up from colors. For weathering I use combination of pastels, artistic oils and spirit markers.
